Hello, I’m Laura Cullen, owner and manager of Bright Sparks Montessori & Daycare. I am very proud to have reached the incredible milestone of 20 years in business serving the families of Clondalkin and surrounding areas, providing Early Childhood education and care and School age Care. My journey in childcare began in 1995, and it has been my passion ever since. I completed my initial training at the London Montessori College and went on to earn a Diploma in Childcare Management from the Portobello School of Further Education.
Alongside this, I obtained a Fetac Level 6 Major Award in Childcare Supervision, which further fueled my commitment to early childhood education. In 2004, I launched Bright Sparks Montessori & Daycare, driven by a vision to provide the highest quality care and education for children in Clondalkin and beyond.
The Montessori method, with its structured yet playful approach, has always resonated with me. I strongly believe in the power of ongoing learning—not only for children but for myself and my team. To ensure the best service possible I regularly upskill through courses in all areas of the sector.
Training remains a priority here at Bright Sparks Montessori & Daycare. I encourage my team members to pursue professional development and enhance their skills. I am very grateful to work alongside such a wonderful team.Their dedication, enthusiasm and passion for their work contributes enormously to the successful delivery of a service of the highest quality.
Although managing a busy service takes up much of my time, I love being able to step into the classroom, even if just briefly, to connect with the children and lend a hand. My greatest joys come from witnessing the little moments of growth, like seeing a once-shy child gain confidence, or watching friendships blossom among the children.
Staying connected with parents is also essential to me, and I enjoy sharing updates and memories on our Facebook page to keep families in the loop. I look forward to many more years of nurturing young minds and making a positive impact in our community.
